We are looking for

We are looking for driven and enthusiastic individual who is a natural communicator with an eye for detail.  Good technical ability and a proven aptitude for problem-solving are essential.
 
The successful candidate must have experience of developing commercial enterprise systems using React having ideally done so in an agile development environment. Health domain experience would be a benefit but is not essential.

 We don’t expect specific knowledge of ophthalmology, but we’re looking for a quick learner who is genuinely excited about our product, our market, and how we can improve the practice of specialist eye care.  Personal development is a priority for Medisoft, and we encourage our team to develop their skills.
 
The role is based at our offices in Leeds, but occasional travel may be required.  

COVID-19 considerations:
 Our office is open, and our team back are working from the office.  We are working with a hybrid model which allows some remote working. Our office has been risk assessed and continues to be COVID-19 safe through various hygiene and physical measures.

Your responsibilities

The successful candidate will:
  • Work with a UX designer to develop a suite of user interface components that can be used to build complex web front ends
  • Develop, document, and build a new web front-end framework for Medisoft’s EMR, mediSIGHT
  • Define and document coding guidelines for building web front ends
  • Work with the existing product engineering teams to support them in adding features to mediSIGHT whilst working within the defined framework
  • Support the development of new web front ends for other products and internal tools developed by Medisoft
  • Practice and drive the best technology and software development practices into the team with passion and enthusiasm

Your qualifications

Experience or knowledge of the following would be an advantage:
  • The healthcare domain 
  • Working in an agile development environment
  • Data protection and security
  • Azure DevOps
  • ASP.Net Core 2+
  • .NET Framework 4.7 / .NET Core 3+

Your profile

The role requires:
  • Hands-on experience of full project life cycle from initial analysis and design through to coding, testing, and maintenance
  • A strong understanding of web application architecture
  • A proficiency in React, Hooks API, .NET Core, C#, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, SCSS and JavaScript
  • An understanding of how to achieve optimum performance, security, and maintainability
  • Collaboration with engineers and UX designers to improve usability
  • In-depth knowledge of a development environment, tools, and source control
  • Exemplary communication and people skills, in a technical and non-technical context 
  • An ability to function in an environment of high complexity with limited guidance
